Quantum Insurance Ltd is offering you an opportunity to join its dynamic and young team. The Business Development Officer will primarily be an on the field job. The right candidate will oversee all corporate business activities in general Insurance, ensure achievement of set sales targets and promote profitable growth while ensuring mutually beneficial business relationship with the relevant stakeholders.

The right candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing corporate revenue generation function (new business and renewals) for general business and ensure set sales and service delivery targets are achieved.
  • Implementing and achieving the sales target business plan as set out in the General Insurance business plan.
  • Creating, identifying, developing and realising both external and internal opportunities for general business.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good HSC + University Degree in Sales/ Marketing or related field.
  • Possess a valid driving licence.
  • At least 2 years’ working experience in marketing and sales (experience in general insurance industry will be an advantage)
  • Effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • IT Literate.


Job Profile

Claims Handling:

  • Analyze and evaluate insurance claims as per Insurance Policy conditions.
  • Make decisions on the extent and validity of insurance claims.
  • Ensure efficient processing and fair settlement of valid insurance claims.
  • Adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations and customer quality standards set by the company.
  • Guide policyholders on how to proceed with the claim as well as providing advice on making a claim.
  • Collect accurate information including documents to proceed with a claim.
  • Build collaborative relationships with loss adjusters, claims surveyors as well as other legal and claims professionals.
  • Seek legal recovery of claims amount paid out.

Technical Competencies required:

  • Understanding of the insurance industry, particularly the claims functions in General Insurance business.
  • Familiarity with changing legislation and insurance related legal provisions.
  • Knowledge of the scope of General insurance products.
  • Interpretation of relevant legal provisions pertaining to Insurance contract.
  • Numerical and analytical skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields or Diploma in insurance from The Chartered Insurance Institute
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience required for the job
  • Experience in insurance will be an advantage
  • IT Literate
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
